The world’s premier event for ceramic tile and natural stone is returning to Florida. From April 6 – April 9, 2027, the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando becomes the global epicenter of surface innovation.
As an Official Coverings 2027 Ambassador, I am welcoming the international design community to my home state to explore the technical evolution of high-performance surfaces.

If you’ve been following my journey at Lais Luz, you know I firmly believe our industry is built on deep-rooted relationships. Digital catalogs are great, but Coverings is where the handshakes happen.

These are the makers behind the slabs we love, and hearing their vision firsthand is how I stay ahead of the curve for my clients.

One of the most frequent questions I get in the halls of the OCCC is: "How do we make a kitchen feel like a living space, not just a workspace?" > The answer is Invisacook. As an official ambassador, I’ve spent years working to push the limits of what porcelain slabs or Dekton surfaces can do.
At Coverings 2027, I’ll be showcasing how we eliminate the "dead zone" of the traditional stovetop. By installing resin-free porcelain slabs over Invisacook induction units, we create a monolithic surface that is:

Why You Need to Be There (Physically!)
You can look at photos of porcelain slabs online all day, but you cannot feel the texture or see how the light hits a 12mm silk-finish slab through a screen. You need to touch the materials, watch the live demos, and see the scale of these massive installations in person.
Coverings is my "fuel" for the rest of the year. It’s where I gather the inspiration I bring back to my projects in Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, and Siesta Key.
